The intrepid walker concluded his march taking in ten of the National League’s northern clubs inside seven demanding days.
He walked over 190 miles all in aid of Prostate Cancer UK - raising critical awareness of the disease which kills so many every year world wide.
Sufferer Kevin was diagnosed in 2014 and was told he could have only two years to live.
But yet again he defied the odds and got the warmest of receptions at FC Halifax Town - with a chat on the pitch with BT Sport’s Matt Smith which of course went around the globe.
Joining him on the last leg were the National League’s CEO Michael Tattersall and sponsors Vanarama who have of course backed the competition’s recent rebrand to the tune of £150,000.
Fearless Kevin told us: “It just feels good to be sitting down! The feet are sore but the final bit is always so exciting - it’s been a wonderful few days.
“I’ve met ten lots of fans, with directors, managers and players on the way. The welcome at every club has been wonderful.
“This is what grass roots football is all about. The support has been incredible.
“Every club has been different. One club the local kids will turn up, the next you will get the Major! Sometimes you even get the club physio so you get a massage!
“We all know why I decided to do this and why I will keep on undertaking these challenges.
“The message is quite clear: one in eight people get prostate cancer and we need to go something about it!
“This is to raise awareness and with a bit of luck we can carry on saving lives.”
