Magpies Snap Up Goodman

Maidenhead United manager Alan Devonshire has snapped up defender Jake Goodman from National League South side Braintree Town.

Twenty-three-year-old Goodman started his career with Millwall.

He signed a professional contract with the Lions in 2012, turning down an offer from Newcastle United to do so.

Whilst on the books at the New Den, Goodman had loan spells with Luton Town, making eleven appearances in the National League and then stayed in the division by joining Aldershot Town, where he made twenty-one appearances, also on loan.

Goodman went on loan to League Two side AFC Wimbledon in November 2014 and extended his spell until the end of the season.

He was released by Millwall at the end of the 2014/15 season and signed for Margate where he spent a season and played thirty-seven times, scoring 2 goals, before transferring to Braintree in the summer of 2016.
