MacFarlane Thinks His Stylish Harriers Now Have Lift Off

Kidderminster manager Neil MacFarlane feels it’s full steam ahead for the Harriers after securing their first win in style.

The National League North club are unbeaten but it has taken them four matches to register a first victory.

They beat Darlington 5-2 on Saturday and the new boss can’t speak highly enough of his team so far.

They have a big Bank Holiday weekend ahead - a trip to Curzon Ashton and a match at home to Stockport County in a battle of two former Football League clubs.

But it was Harriers’ win against another one of those, Darlington, which has MacFarlane thrilled.

“The response from the group so far this season has been incredible,” he said. “We’ve had comebacks and good performances, but I’m delighted for them after Saturday.

“We got the game plan spot on I thought. We really took the game to them and got our rewards.

“The team have been sensational since I took the job. Their application has been brilliant.

“But we have to keep improving and keep this level of application going.”
