Macc Move for New Keeper

By Steve Whitney

Vanarama National League club Macclesfield Town have announced the signing of goalkeeper Craig Ross.

Ross has joined on a free transfer from National League South side Whitehawk and will challenge Ritchie Branagan for the number one shirt at the Moss Rose.

Ross is a former England C goalkeeper who left Hampton & Richmond Borough, who were then in the National League South, in 2012 to sign a contract with Cambridge United.

He made fifteen appearances for Cambridge before a move to Eastbourne Borough, and then Whitehawk.

Since his arrival at The Hawks he has been a regular in goal for a side that narrowly missed out on promotion last season.
