Macc Move for Churchman

Vanarama National League club Macclesfield Town have announced the signing of former Stockport County midfielder Chris Churchman.

The 20-year-old creative midfielder has signed a deal with the Silkmen after leaving Edgeley Park.

Churchman made forty-nine appearances for the Hatters, scoring 4 goals, since making his debut against Oxford City in December 2013.

His impressive displays saw him named young player of the year last season but, despite signing a new deal with the club, a change in management saw him left out of the Stockport side at the start of this term.

He recently began training with the Silkmen and has obviously suitably impressed boss John Askey enough for him to award Churchman a deal.
