Lynch Leaves Chester - Liverpool Loanee Arrives

By Steve Whitney

Chester FC have confirmed that they have agreed to release goalkeeper Alex Lynch.

The 22-year-old leaves the Swansway Chester Stadium having made forty-five appearances.

Lynch arrived at the club in October 2016 from JD Welsh Premier side Bala Town and showed his quality during his time with the Blues.

His man of the match effort against Tranmere Rovers this season to keep a clean sheet immediately springs to mind.

As a consequence of Lynch`s departure, Chester have signed 21-year-old Andy Firth from Premier League giants Liverpool.

Firth (pictured) has been with Liverpool since he was an under-11 player.

Hailing from Ripon in North Yorkshire, Firth is popular amongst his team-mates and is a fine shot-stopper.

He is a regular member of the Reds` under-23 squad, working closely under the tutelage of Mark Morris.
