LV BET | Vanarama National League Season Preview

By Oliver Osborn

Betting partner LV BET bring you a special preview of the new Vanarama National League season, which kicks-off tomorrow.

It’s getting on for seven months since three points were being played for in the Vanarama National League - and so much has changed as the big return finally arrives.

But who will make up for lost time and doing something special this season?

With the excitement building ahead of the opening set of fixtures this weekend, it’s Stockport County who have made the headline grabbing new additions.

In John Rooney, they have made an astute signing from champions Barrow. They have also secured the signing of experienced full-back James Jennings from Wrexham as well their latest addition, AFC Fylde’s talented Ryan Croasdale.

As a result LV BET have made Jim Gannon’s team the current favorites.

Notts County, runners up in the Promotion Final last season, will be looking to go one step better than last year with a title win.

They have retained top strikers Callum Roberts and Kyle Wooton and added talent including Scott Wilson from Oldham and Jake Reeves from Bradford. Notts County are the second favourites to win the title this year.

Yeovil Town and Dagenham & Redbridge are next in the betting with LV BET.

Yeovil were defeated in the play-off eliminators and will be looking to Rhys Murphy and Courtney Duffus for goals this season. Darren Sarll has invested well in midfield area with young Aston Villa loanee Jack Clarke. For the Daggers, they have gone into the transfer market and snapped up Paul McCallum and Callum Roberts to boost their attacking power - as well as Adrian Clifton from Bromley in midfield.

A bunch of teams follow in the title betting and they include Wrexham and Solihull Moors who will both be looking to improve on last season’s position and make a title charge.

Play-off teams from last season Boreham Wood and FC Halifax Town are next in the betting as they will hope to build on their consistent performances throughout the season and aim to turn more draws into wins to be serious title contenders.

Chesterfield and Torquay United were fancied to go well last season and the ambitions for both teams are to challenge at the top of the table this year and return to the Football League.
