LV BET | Vanarama National League Matchday Two Preview

By Oliver Osborn

After an eventful Matchday One with plenty of entertainment and action, all eyes turn to the midweek fixture list.

Bromley, Chesterfield and Wealdstone take to the field for their first match of the season and hope to take advantage of the extra preparation time.

Big winners on Matchday One Eastleigh will look to build on the outstanding performance against Barnet and make it back-to-back wins, hosting Torquay United.

After an even first half on Saturday, Eastleigh scored four unanswered goals in the second-half to secure a comfortable win.

Another team who won well on Saturday was Sutton United, beating Maidenhead United 3-0 at home. They now travel to Aldershot Town looking to maintain their 100% record. Aldershot themselves will be looking to pick up three points after a narrow 2-1 defeat away at Hartlepool United.

Two London teams clash at Victoria Road aiming to bounce back from defeats on Saturday as Dagenham & Redbridge host Barnet. Paul McCallum, now with the Daggers, will know all about the opponents after playing for them last year. Can he get on the scoresheet?

Another hotly contested match-up will be Solihull Moors entertaining Wrexham, who could have already won Goal of the Season as Luke Young scored a superb free-kick in their defeat of Boreham Wood.

On Wednesday, the live BT Sport cameras will be at Meadow Lane as Neal Ardley’s Notts County side will want to bounce back from a last-minute goal by Dover Athletic on Saturday. Newly promoted Altrincham are the visitors and can take confidence from a clean sheet in their opening game against fellow promoted Weymouth.
