Sutton United vs Barrow

When it’s been almost 50 years since you last watched your club play in the Football League, these final few months must seem like a lifetime.

Barrow fans are no doubt enjoying the ride but boy, they’re desperate to get over the line.

Tuesday night’s win over Dover Athletic re-established their seven-point advantage over second-place Harrogate Town.

The countdown is truly on if someone wants to finally unsaddle the long-term leaders.

Should they leave Sutton United with three points then even their most sceptical supporter will start to believe.

But that will be a tall order - the Amber Army have only one defeat in ten and on their 3G they are now a force to be reckoned with, taking 13 points from a possible 15 at home.

Barrow are braced for a tough one - and their manager knows just how much of a threat the south west Londoners pose.

After squeaking past them 1-0 at Holker Street, Ian Evatt described it as their biggest and best win of the season.

If they get another this weekend in front of the cameras, it will take a brave person to bet against them.
