'Lots Of Positives' For Bignot Despite Latest Lions Setback

Guiseley's performance was enough to convince Marcus Bignot they have what it takes to survive despite the Lions' latest defeat.

The 1-0 loss at Curzon Ashton on Monday evening did little to appease their hopes as far as points go.

But for Bignot, the performance reassured him that they may well just be alright by the final game.

"To have a zero in the goals for column is hard to take," he told the club's website. "But at the same time, there were lots of positives.

"The performance, the chances we created and the football we played but at the end, the result hasn't gone our way.

"We have done everything possible to get that result and we just fell short."

The result made it 11 games without a win for West Yorkshire based outfit and they sit just three points above the drop-zone as they look to avoid a double relegation.

Bignot stressed his belief in the players despite their poor run of form.

He said: "The boys are giving everything and results haven't gone the way we've wanted and performances have been affected by that.

"We're devastated for the boys tonight because with that performance, we didn't deserve to be on the losing end."
