Spennymoor Town fans finally know who will be taking the club forward as Graeme Lee was picked to try and turn their once promising season around.
He will work with assistant Ian Clark and Moors’ Managing Director Ian Geldard said: “They both have a wealth of coaching experience and I know they’re excited by the challenge that lies ahead so we look forward to giving them all the support they need in achieving our goals.
“We now want to see all the supporters getting right behind the new management team and the players as we look to drive real progress and make it a very happy 2024.”
At the other end of the country, Eastbourne Borough are looking for a new manager after Mark Beard was axed on New Year’s Day.
Just six wins from their first 26 National League South fixtures wasn’t enough for the now full-time Sports and chairman Simon Leslie was left with no choice but to act.
“With the team now five points away from safety in the relegation zone, it is with a heavy heart that I feel it is time for a change in direction,” he said.
“I want to thank Mark for everything he has done at Eastbourne Borough and I am personally disappointed that we are making this change.”
Darlington have appointed Steve Watson as their new manager and he set his sights of survival.
The former York City, Chester and Gateshead will need to use all his experience with the club eight points adrift of safety.
Blyth Spartans, meanwhile, moved to appoint Jon Shaw following the dismissal of Graham Fenton.
