Lockwood Sorry After Heavy Guiseley Defeat

By Tom Feaheny

Guiseley were defeated 6-0 by top of the table Aldershot Town.

Guiseley have a point from three games after losing to the Shots away from home, writes Tom Feaheny.

Adam Lockwood spoke after the heavy defeat and said: "It's hard we came in and prepared we played a very good Aldershot side, we lost battles all over the pitch, we felt we could get a foot in the game but we didn't."

He added: "I'd like to apologise to the Guiseley fans, we have to turn things round and go again."

"There were areas we changed things but in open play they pulled us apart, it led to tiredness and we just couldn't recover."

They next face Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night with Lockwood expecting a much improved display.

"When you get beat you need a reaction, we are in this game to bounce back, don't feel sorry for yourself and go again. "
