Live Grudge Match The Highlight Of Brilliant Weekend!

By Sam Elliott

Another National League weekend is here and there’s a huge local grudge match - and a fair bit of travelling for many others!

The enhanced DAZN game comes from north west London and there’s no love lost between Wealdstone and Barnet.

They will both want to be dominate a fixture which is all about territory and while both have different ends of the table to focus on right now, a big crowd will add more heat to a warm week.

Things are all very close to home for the rivals but the same can’t be everyone else.

Forest Green Rovers hit the road again and it’s a massive meeting with Gateshead - both sides sit in the top seven.

The Heed have won every game they have played at the International Stadium so far and manager Rob Elliot wants more.

Woking make the long trip to managerless AFC Fylde, who started life without Chris Beech superbly on Tuesday with an 1-0 win against Southend United.

Goalkeeping coach Chris Neal and their former striker Nathan Delfouneso are in caretaker charge of the club and want to make it two wins from two.

The leaders are York City and they know how hard it is to call their visit to York City, who have put four past tough-to-beat Oldham Athletic but have also failed to defeat sides down the bottom.

Two of the teams the Shots have lost to meet when Braintree Town host Tamworth in an important meeting between two of the division’s new arrivals.

Rochdale want to get back on track straight away after their great run was ended last weekend. They’ve got their work cut out at Eastleigh, who have taken ten points from a possible 12 at home.

Yeovil Town also have a long journey ahead of them and Oldham have just lost once so far but as their fans know draws have held them back. They’ve not won at Boundary Park since the opening day.

Can Dagenham & Redbridge really kick on after wiping the floor with Gateshead last time out? They’re at Hartlepool United, who became Ebbsfleet United’s first victims a week ago.

Their new manager Harry Watling is determined to back up his flying start but says Sutton United have a very strong team - and an excellent manager in charge in Steve Morison.

FC Halifax Town are motoring along nicely and want to extend their unbeaten run at Maidenhead United.

Southend United’s start has been painful but manager Kevin Maher refuses to lose faith. They want to give their campaign life by defeating Solihull Moors, who look like they have overcome their challenging first five weeks.
