Guiseley AFC have confirmed the loan signing of James Hurst from....

....Vanarama National League rivals Torquay United.

The 23-year-old, who can operate in defence or midfield, arrives on a temporary basis until January.

Hurst moved to Torquay from Hednesford Town in the close season and featured in the Lions’ 1-1 draw at the Launa Windows Stadium earlier this season.

He has 7 goals to his name in seventeen league games this term.

Listing the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth amongst his former clubs, Hurst has represented England at various youth levels and is available for selection for Saturday’s trip to Tranmere Rovers.

Guiseley manager Mark Bower said: “I’m delighted to be able to get James on board and I’m sure he’ll bring quality and experience to the squad as we approach a difficult run of fixtures.

“For someone who’s only 23, he has plenty of experience and know-how at this level and higher up, so I’m sure he’ll be a real asset to us.”
