But he thinks there is even more to come from Woking in the weeks ahead.
"Not many other teams or maybe our fans would have thought we would have 9 points looking at the fixtures we have had," said Limbrick.
"But we knows there's a lot of hard work still ahead of us. We can still get a lot better.
"We came into the game on the back of two defeats, and the squad have reacted well to those setbacks.
"We went in 2-1 ahead at half time and we said to the players to go out there and get that third as quickly as possible.
"Torquay scored an incredible goal before half time which got them back into it but the first thing we told them in the changing room at the break was that there was nothing you could do about such a great strike," he said of Jamie Gray's astonishing goal.
"We passed the ball very well, got the ball into our attacking three players and scored four very good goals.
"We put pressure on ourselves with the high standards we set the players.
"Torquay at home was probably the first game this season that we have been favourites to win, so 9 points on the board so far is a decent return. It's been a very difficult start but we know we can do even better."
