Limbrick Has His Say Following His Woking Departure

Departing Woking manager Anthony Limbrick has thanked the fans after he left his position on Tuesday.

The club decided it was time for change after seven defeats in nine National League matches.

The Australian took to the club’s website to release a statement following yesterday’s announcement.

Woking are in trouble after defeat at Torquay United on Monday left them within three points of the bottom four.

Limbrick leaves after seven months in charge and the Cards will be led forward by club will be led forward by club legend Geoff Chapple, who is to be assisted by coach Jason Goodliffe.

“I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to the Board, staff and players at Woking Football Club,” Limbrick said.

“The hard work and brilliant support I have received during my time as manager I will always be grateful for.

“Last but not least the fans - I appreciated your passion and dedication to the team and also towards myself that you showed throughout my time at the club. Thank you.”
