The Bucks lost 5-3 at home to York City and missed the chance to put distance between themselves and the bottom three.
Telford are just a point above the National League North drop zone and have now lost their first three games of 2018.
Edwards is frustrated his side haven’t won now since November 21 but feels they should enough in the second half last night to suggest they can get back to winning ways before long.
“It was a very disappointing night, to concede five goals at home isn’t good enough. We gifted York a lot of goals,” he told the National League’s Oli Osborn.
“We know that, the players know that but again I take responsibility - I’m the manager, it’s on me. At least in the second half we showed a bit of quality.
“It was a huge uphill battle after letting in two goals so early, but the players kept battling and kept fighting.”
Edwards added: “Credit to the boys for not letting their heads go down, it made for an entertaining game but entertainment goes out the window when there’s three points at stake.
“We had to do something at half time. We brought on three subs and changed our shape but York scored again to go 5-1 up. After that it was on-way traffic and we created a lot of chances but by then it was too late.”
Telford play Nuneaton this weekend in the National League North, a big game near the bottom with Dino Maamria’s side just two points below them in the table.
