Let The Surprises Start! Tough Day For Teams At The Top

It wasn’t a day to remember for the teams at the top as the surprise results started to arrive early.

Barnet blew the chance to return to the top after losing at Dagenham. An own goal from Nicke Kambama was their undoing.

Chesterfield were stunned after Altrincham performed am incredible comeback to win 2-1 after inflicted their first defeat. Dior Angus was at the double with his first goals for the club.

We have new leaders for the third time in a few days after Hartlepool United won the live TNT Sports game.

Manny Dieseruvwe continued his fantastic form with a double to down AFC Fylde as manager John Askey celebrated his new contract in the best way possible.

Dom Poleon is really up and running - his double helped Ebbsfleet United defeat Kidderminster Harriers 3-0.

Woking left Gateshead reeling. They came from behind to win 3-1, Jim Kellerman amongst the scorers. Josh Stokes hit a double for Aldershot Town, they defeated Wealdstone 3-1.

Jason Prior nabbed a point for Dorking Wanderers as they drew 2-2 in a thriller with York City, who are still without a win.

Two games ended without a goal. Boreham Wood we’re blunted by Oldham, while Maidenhead and Oxford City couldn’t be separated.

Curzon Ashton stunned Scunthorpe United to cause a big surprise in the National League North.

Craig Mahon’s winner put a spanner in the works for the leaders, while Spennymoor take over - a Ryan Charles own goal saw them beat Bishop’s Stortford.

South Shields have started superbly and they swatted aside Gloucester City 3-0. It was a good day for Justin Johnson and Chorley after his two goals helped beat ten man King’s Lynn Town 3-1.

Sam Osbourne also hit a brace, he looked sharp as Buxton defeated Blyth Spartans 3-0. Southport ended their 13 game losing run with a brave 0-0 draw at Brackley.

Finlay Barnes scored twice as Darlington left Alfreton with a 3-2 win to bring an end to the Reds fine run. Elsewhere is was an afternoon to remember for Scarborough, Boston United and Peterborough Sports.

In the National League South, Worthing showed they are up for the fight as they stayed out in front.

Nicky Wheeler scored again as they left Dover with a 2-0 win.

The other Rebels Slough Town couldn’t get a win but pushed Torquay United all the way, Bradley Ash got both the Gulls’ goals.

Scott Wilson scored two goals to lift Bath City to fourth as they got the better of Hampton & RB. Frank Nouble clinched Yeovil Town’s victory against Tonbridge Angels.

Chelmsford City looked the part as they eased to a 3-0 win at Weymouth, while Welling United got their season up and running with a 3-2 win against fellow slow starters Havant & Waterlooville.

Elsewhere it was a good day for Dartford, Taunton Town, Farnborough and Truro City.
