Leonard Makes Bucks Switch

Forward Max Leonard has left Curzon Ashton after accepting an offer from league rivals AFC Telford United.

Leonard joined the Nash in July from Glossop North End where he had a very successful 2016/17 campaign, collecting the managers`, players` and supporters` player of the year as well as the `golden boot` with the Evo-Stik League North outfit.

The 23-year-old former Huddersfield Town forward had a spell with Toolstation Northern Counties East League side Garforth Town whilst still on the Terriers` books and then joined Evo-Stik League South outfit Frickley Athletic in October 2014 after a spell with AFC Emley.

He bagged two early goals for The Nash on debut in a 4-0 victory against North Ferriby United on the opening day of the season.

After failing to maintain his place in John Flanagan's starting team, scoring just 2 more goals in his following fifteen appearances, the young forward has accepted a move to the New Bucks Head.
