An impressive display and result sees Dover stay three points off top spot, writes Tom Feaheny.
Two goals apiece from Mitch Pinnock and Ryan Bird ensured their victory.
"It was important to get a good start, we got at them early on, it was nice to see Mitch (Pinnock) get on the score sheet, then to go 2-0 showed it was a good start," Leberl said to the club's website.
"We've been on a little bit of a bad run results wise, you can start losing then go on a run, it was important we got the point last week and then the win this one.
"It was a really pleasing result, to beat a team like Hartlepool like we did, it gets us back on the winning feeling
They like all National League sides have a weekend off from the league games as they enter the FA Trophy and looking ahead to hosting Eastbourne Borough, Leberl says it is a competition they aim to do well in.
"The aim is to go on a new unbeaten run and use the FA Trophy for that as well, we will take the competition seriously next week."
