Leberl Knows Guiseley Test Will Push Dover Side

Dover Athletic gained victory last weekend and are now fully focused on hosting relegation threatened Guiseley according to assistant Jake Leberl.

Now in seventh place in the National League table, Dover aim to stay in the play-off places, writes Tom Feaheny.

"A Paul Cox is always a tough game, if we want to progress we need to be getting points," Leberl told the club's website.

"Any opponent in this league is gonna push your squad and they will be no different."

Last weekend Dover won a topsyturvy game at Boreham Wood with a goal in the 85th minute making it 3-1 despite conceding just before the end, they held on for the win, which Leberl was delighted with.

"I'm delighted with the win, we stood up to their strength and the backline did a good job, we know there are bits we need to improve on.

"The defence put their bodies on the line, they were tremendous and have come off knackered, we need to keep doing that.

"We haven't been on that bad a run, we feel like we've been on a run we needed to change to get the belief back up."
