Leamington Boss Holleran Fires Warning To Players

Disappointed Leamington boss Paul Holleran has told his players they must improve - or face being replaced.

The Brakes were knocked out of the FA Trophy on Saturday after losing 1-0 to old rivals, and Northern Premier League side, Stourbridge.

That result followed a 2-0 defeat at Chorley two weeks prior and Holleran knows his side have to get back to their best when they return to National League North action at Tamworth on Saturday.

“We’ve got individuals and combinations on the pitch that need to do better,” the boss told Leamington FC TV. “We were sloppy at Chorley and it’s another set piece that has beaten us (against Stourbridge).

“Sadly we’ve got too many players not where they need to be and that’s something we’ve got to resolve very quickly.

“The League we’re in, if we’re not bang at it week in and week out, it’s pretty obvious what will happen.

“Our last couple of performances haven’t been where they need to be. Whether the current group do better or I bring players in that will do better remains to be seen.”
