Law Wants To Help York Bounce Back

Josh Law joined after leaving Oldham Athletic, he is hoping to play a part in getting the Minstermen back to the National League.

The defender who has also player who has also played for Alfreton Town and Motherwell, writes Tom Feaheny.

He told the club's website his main reasons for making the move:

“I’ve played here in the past with Alfreton and always enjoyed it here. When I spoke to the Manager he told me how much I would enjoy it because of how good the club is, how good the fans are, and how well it’s run.

"I’ve been in and seen for myself how well run it is. Looking at the facilities you would think it’s a League club, and I’m really looking forward to getting going.”

So far the Minstermen have sold over 1000 tickets, beating their total for last season. Law says this is another positive for the club that can help them get a good start.

“I think there’s no doubt we’ll have three or four thousand in the ground. Those numbers through the door can only help us and push us on in this league to try and get out of it.

"It’s a competitive league now with a lot of money getting thrown about and it will be tough to get out. But I think we’ve got a squad together that’s capable of it so we hope to do it on the pitch”.

The 27 year old was also full of praise for Gary Mills.

"The Gaffer is a really good bloke as well and I’m looking forward to playing for him.”
