Late Excitement All Over On Another Electric Evening!

By Sam Elliott

Tuesday night didn’t disappoint as two of the sides at the summit won and the “title favourites” were defeated.

Barnet boss Dean Brennan said before this evening's matches that Forest Green were still the team to beat this season.

Oldham Athletic did just that, Mike Fondop-Talom grabbing another winner - and suddenly the Latics have come alive.

But Brennan’s Bees lead the way, making hard work of a 1-0 success at Aldershot having had a man advantage for most of the match. Nicke Kabamba scored again.

York City, pictured, showed they mean business with a brutal 3-0 victory at Solihull Moors. Tyrese Sinclair was at the double.

Gateshead got themselves back on track with a comfortable night against Boston United. First half goals from Ben Radcliffe and Owen Oseni did the damage.

Rochdale have also recovered well from a ropey week as they left Hartlepool 3-0 winners. Connor McBride scored and Kairo Mitchell continued his great season before a third from Devante Rodney wrapped things up.

Maidenhead United won the big one down the bottom. Tristan Abrahams and Shawn McCoulsky grabbed the goals to flatten Ebbsfleet United.

Chris Maguire earned Eastleigh a point in the thrilling 2-2 draw with Woking as Sutton United and Yeovil Town firing blanks.

There was late drama at Wealdstone, however. Very late on Callum McFarlane thought he had earned a huge victory over Southend but there was a sting in the tail.

Josh Walker popped up in the fourth minute of time added on to rescue a breathless point.

It was equally as hectic at AFC Fylde as Tamworth left with all three points thanks to a 96th minute goal from Dan Creaney as the newcomers really start to settle into their new surroundings.

Altrincham put the record straight after a tough weekend, Regan Linney and Tom Crawford both scored in a 2-1 win over in-form Dagenham & Redbridge.

Braintree Town also secured a late and huge victory over FC Halifax Town to give them a perfect pick-me-up. Inih Effiong’s penalty ended their recent barren spell.

There was one game in the National League North as Leamington defeated Oxford City 4-1. Callum Stewart fired in a classy hat-trick for the Brakes.
