Laps Of Honour! Dowson Gets Dirty To Aid Injured Stars

Alan Dowson’s very different way of dealing with an injury crisis has had a successful outcome.

The manager took on the challenge of running 100 laps around the Laithwaite’s pitch to raise some cash on Monday.

He got his boots on to aid two key players in their return from injury and said after that he needed a stiff drink!

Christian Jolley and Kane Ferdinand's rehab is ongoing and Dowson is desperate to get them on his team sheet again.

The Cards manager asked fans to dig deep and they didn’t let him down.

He has already raised £2,250 online alone and hopes the cash keeps coming in over the next few days.

“We’ve really struggled with ongoing injuries and the club have offered great support throughout but I really want to do that little bit myself to help Christian and Kane get moving forward as quickly as possible,” he said.

Woking need everyone as fit as possible as they look to win promotion back to the National League.

On Saturday they drew 2-2 with Chippenham in an afternoon where all the top clubs dropped points.
