Lafayette earns Player of the Month award in National League South

Ross Lafayette of Wealdstone has won Player of the Month in the National League South.

One Wealdstone striker captured the headlines momentarily this summer as he made an appearance on ITV2’s Love Island.

Who’d have thought Dennon Lewis would actually find his perfect partner when he returned to England and got back to work at Grosvenor Vale?

Ross Lafayette has been influential in Wealdstone’s steamrollering of almost all who dared to go toe-to-toe with them so far this season.

A brace on the opening weekend against Dartford was the perfect start. But since defeat to Dulwich Hamlet three days later, Dean Brennan’s side haven’t looked back even for a split second.

Braintree Town, Chippenham Town, Hemel Hempstead Town, Hungerford Town and Maidstone United all tried but came up too short.

The Stones even conceded three at Weymouth, but Lafayette was having none of it and hit a sublime hat-trick to finish the Terras off – a feat that took his haul for August to an impressive six.

Keep this up and these rolling Stones can definitely get what they want!
