Klukowski Makes Torquay Move

Yan Klukowski has signed for Torquay United from National League North side York City to complete an exciting range of central midfield options for manager Kevin Nicholson.

Klukowski is a tall and powerful midfielder, who spent much of his early career on a scholarship in the United States, returning to play local football before his obvious ability was spotted by Forest Green Rovers.

Four successful years at the New Lawn earned him a move to Newport County and then York.

He brings yet more quality, strength and experience to an exciting looking new squad for the new season.

“Yan is another experienced player at this level and I’m very happy to get the deal done,” Nicholson told the club`s official website. “He is a strong guy who can play anywhere down the spine of the team.

“Yan brings a real goal threat from midfield and is very good aerially in both boxes. We now have really strong options in central midfield and competition for places, which gives me flexibility in terms of our formation and style of play.

“Pre-season is well and truly under way and Yan has already sampled our approach. He will be another strong leader in the group and I’m sure he will enjoy his time at Torquay United”.
