King Leaves Shaymen For Trinity

FC Halifax Town have confirmed that Liam King has left the club and joined National League North side Gainsborough Trinity for an undisclosed fee.

King joined the Shaymen last season from North Ferriby United, making thirty-five league starts and eight substitute appearances, scoring 7 goals during a promotion-winning season.

He started his career at Rotherham United and has also played for Matlock Town and Altrincham.

The Nottinghamshire-born player scored 19 goals from midfield for North Ferriby during the 2015/16 season and was subsequently named in the National League North team of the year.

However, he has only made only two appearances off the bench for the first-team this season.
