Harriers are up to second following an impressive 3-0 victory at Bootham Crescent.
In the build up to the National League North match, Minstermen caretaker boss Sam Collins told the York Press that he thinks his team are better than Kidderminster.
MacFarlane says those comments contributed to their downfall as York’s tough start continued.
“We were exceptional for the whole 90 minutes, with or without the ball we were superb,” he told the club’s YouTube service.
“Everything we worked on came to fruition and it was a wonderful performance from my players.
“I think York showed a bit of naivety before the game, telling our players that they thought they were better that ours.
“On that performance I think most people can tell that they’re nowhere near us. The team talk was done for us.”
MacFarlane added: “It was an easy win for us and we’re moving along nicely. It’s five wins from six and we’re still unbeaten.
“But what’s pleasing me most is that we’re dominating matches. I couldn’t be happier with the player, they’re an unbelievable group.”
