Keates Relishing Top Of The Table Clash

By David Richardson

It's fifth vs first at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday as Wrexham take on Sutton United - and Reds boss Dean Keates can't wait.

Wrexham stunned Tranmere last week, winning 1-0 at Prenton Park having to play with ten men for over 75 minutes of the match.

That result extended their unbeaten run to seven games, and remaining a point behind their visitors this weekend.

"It was a great result and performance on the weekend,” said Keates. “But it has gone, and we need to back it up now. We are at home and it needs to be backed up with three points at the weekend.

“All being well there will be a big turn out, obviously it is a big game for us.

“It is going to be a tough game, they are the ones I highlighted as dark horse for the season. They seem to have invested some of the FA Cup money and he (Sutton manager Paul Doswell) has recruited really well.

"They are a big strong and well organised team and it going to be a big test for us and something we will look forward to.

"We are at home and will be looking for the three points.”
