Keates Full Focus On Dover Challenge

By Tom Feaheny

Wrexham boss Dean Keates says his side are ready for their clash against another side near the top of the table this weekend.

Third play fourth this weekend with both sides knowing a win could see them go to top spot for Christmas day, writes Tom Feaheny.

The Red Dragons could have been first going into this game if they hadn't lost to Macclesfield Town the last time out.

"We were disappointed with the last league loss, it's a big test for us against Dover and the aim and ambition is to be in the mix for promotion," Keates said at a press conference.

"We know this will be a tough challenge for the side, they are doing well, but so are we, this is another important game for this team."

Wrexham last weekend exited the FA Trophy with a youthful side losing to Harrogate Town, Keates reflected on the loss feeling their were positives to take.

"Result wise, we put out that I thought could get the win, we've given some young lads a chance and they have done well and performed, they deserve full credit.

"The average age of the team was 21 and that is a positive for the group going forward."
