The Red Dragons made it four draws out of their last five games in the Vanarama National League, while they now nine unbeaten, they could only gain a point at The Shay, writes Tom Feaheny.
"We were comfortable for long periods, we just didn't make it count, it is frustrating but we are not losing games, we just need a goal or two, take the chances we are creating," Keates said to the club's website.
"We looked like we are lacking a little bit of belief in front of goal, it is something we are working on, we had the opportunities, we just need to be able to take them."
Keates says his side have to take belief from this unbeaten run and knows if they can turn draws into wins, it could see them very quickly topping the league.
"Nine games unbeaten is good but there are too many draws in there, there needs to be a few more wins, we have gone to Tranmere and won, when we'd have taken a point, so that's hope it works."
"We are only three points off top it is there for someone to grab hold of it, we hope that is us."
