Kabamba Comeback As Hignett Keeps Loan Ace Nicke

Nicke Kabamba feels the time is right to take Hartlepool United back into the Football League after making his loan move permanent.

The striker arrived from Havant & Waterlooville half way through last season and straight away won the hearts of the fans.

He scored seven times in 17 appearance - with goals coming in each of his first four matches.

Manager Craig Hignett was quick to pounce as he gets his summer business going with the forward putting pen to paper.

Kabamba told the club’s official website: “I am absolutely over the moon, I’m so happy.

“I think I made a very good decision in a difficult situation when I joined the club on loan in January - I just felt like the fans took to me straight away and helped me settle in.

“This club has such a big history, it’s been in the Football League and I want to come here now and hopefully to challenge to win things.

“I have a very good feeling about next year so I am signing for Hartlepool to play games and help get the club back where it belongs in the EFL.”
