Jones Urges Cup Run To Be Used To Carry Momentum

Mark Jones says he knows all about the power of a cup run ahead of his side facing Hereford in the FA Trophy.

City moved out of the relegation zone and in the process of their draw in mid-week added another game to their unbeaten run, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We are five games unbeaten, momentum is crucial and the cup games are very important to do that, we have the FA Cup match coming up and look forward to it, but the Trophy game has all our attention right now," Jones told the club's website.

Jones also appreciated the run of form Hereford have soon.

"They are a good team, have beaten a National League North side in the FA Cup previously, I expect a real challenge for us."

"We both have that thing of looking at the FA Cup games the week after but I know we'll both give it our all in this game, the cups can really help build confidence and form, we know that from this season already."
