Jones Says City Have Played Better Despite Huge Tudors Win

Mark Jones said his Oxford City side were in dreamland after progressing to the FA Cup First Round.

It's no surprise as City thumped Hemel Hempstead Town 5-0 in their replay on Tuesday night.

But after the game, Jones also admitted that despite the huge win, he's seen his side play better this season.

"I actually didn't think we were playing as well as I've seen us before this season," he told the club's YouTube channel.

"When we were two up I actually turned to the lads on the bench and said we weren't actually playing that well.

"But you can't really ask for more than that can you? To win 5-0 and be through to the first round of the FA Cup is a tremendous acheivement.

"It was beyond our dreams that we would win 5-0 and now we've got a great trip to Prenton Park to face Tranmere."
