Jones Revels In Tough Notts County Test

Oxford City manger Mark Jones watched on as his side drew out League Two leaders Notts County and said: bring it on!

Jones was present at the draw representing his club on BBC2 last night.

City were of course in the hat after pulling off arguably the shock of the first round at the weekend.

Oxford have not won in the Vanarama National League South since August - but their FA Cup form has been fantastic. On Saturday they won their fourth game.

They kept their run going by beating League Two Colchester United away from home - and they face an even more challenging task next month.

“Of course it’s a really difficult tie, they all are at this stage,” said Jones.

“Nobody gave us a chance at Colchester and even fewer will against Notts County I suspect!

“But we’ll embrace it, just like we did on Saturday. We’ve done some well in the FA Cup this season, we’ve loved the ride..”

It’s back to league action though first, and this Saturday it is a challenging trip to Chelmsford City.
