The Bluebirds are going through a challenging time and currently reside just outside the bottom four of the National League.
The 22-year-old knows the appointment of Micky Moore was the right choice - but like his manager understands that collecting another win sooner rather than later is the only way a corner can be turned.
Moore got off to a losing start in his first game in permanent charge last weekend, going down 3-2 to Sutton United. http://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/match-info/match-centre/1-2849549
It's back to Holker Street this weekend and Jones knows if they can take three points against Maidstone United then their season will have lift off.
He said: "Obviously it's a bit of a challenging time but we're sticking together. A win on Saturday and everything changes.
"We were a bit unlucky against Sutton in a lot of ways and we were punished for having a poor start to the second half.
"We threw everything we had at it but couldn't quite get the equaliser we maybe deserved.
"The new manager has come in and is trying to make his mark on things but the injury situation makes it difficult. We have just got to keep working hard because that's the only way we are going to be able to move on up the table."
Jones thinks Byron Harrison's two goals at Gander Green Lane could be a sign of things to come.
"Byron is a really important player for the team - give him a chance and he will score you a goal," said the defender.
"It's good to see him back and we need to build off that and hopefully he and the other attacking players can come up with the goods.
"It's not all doom and gloom," said Jones. "It's not perhaps the start any of us had in mind but let's not forget that we are still in September."
