Johnson Applauds The Desire Salford Showed As They Go Back Top

Salford City joint-manager Anthony Johnson says their 3-2 win against Spennymoor Town showed the fight within the side.

After falling behind to 2-1, the Ammies Tom Walker scored twice and with Harrogate Town not winning, results went their way as well, writes Tom Feaheny.

“You can’t question our will to win, the appetite we have, again we have fought back to get the points and now go top,” Johnson told the club’s website.

“It was a tough game with the conditions, we could have scored more to be fair.

“At this stage of the season the result is what matters, we are four unbeaten and got a win against one of the best sides in this league."

They are back in action on Tuesday with the side facing the bottom side North Ferriby United, Johnson knows the importance of the fourteen days.

“This is what we want with the Saturday-Tuesday games, plenty to play for the next two weeks will tell us where we finish.”
