A 1-0 home victory over East Thurrock United wasn’t Bath at their free-flowing best.
But it mean the Romans have now taken 17 points from a possible 21 - and they have kept six clean sheets in their last seven games.
“It’s not going to be great football and attractive on the eye all the time,” the manager told the club’s video service.
“We all want to see a really good game but sometimes the winter conditions, the pitch and the opposition dictate that. You have to find a way to win it.
“I told them at half-time you just had to get those three points, it doesn’t matter how they come - just get them!
“We had to dig deep and we’ve got another clean sheet, we’re getting results and that’s very pleasing. It’s great to be up in third.
“Now we look forward to a massive game with Torquay next Saturday with both teams in great form.”
