The 25-year-old came on during the second half against Haringey Borough and helped the side to a 2-0 win in their second game of pre-season, providing the assist for Frank Keita’s 81st minute goal.
“It felt good to get my Boreham Wood campaign underway,” Jeffers told the club`s official website. “Obviously with it being pre-season I was just looking to get my fitness up and running, so that I can go into the campaign firing on all cylinders.
“There were a few cobwebs there admittedly, but that is expected during pre-season and the more games you play, the better you feel and the better you produce on the pitch.”
Jeffers spent a period on trial with the club last season, but departed without a deal and signed for Chelsmford in the National League South.
The attacker returns with a year of matches under his belt and a record that betters a goal-a-game.
He continued: “I know a few of the lads here already so they have all made me feel welcome, I just can’t wait to get everything started properly.
“I am raring to go again on Saturday, I cannot wait for each game now, the season will come around quickly and it will be here before you know it, I cannot wait.
“I think that I just need to show what I can do really, I proved last season what I am about and it is just replicating that this season”.
