Jansen Proud Of Performance Despite Harriers Stalemate

Chorley boss Matt Jansen believes his side have once again put in a performance they should be proud of after the 0-0 draw against Kidderminster Harriers.

The result sees the Magpies now four points off the play-off places but with a game in hand, Tom Feaheny.

"It was another positive performance against a quality side, we gave them more than a game," Jansen told the club's Audioboom account.

"We went into this game full of confidence, we gave them a real good game, on balance of play maybe a draw is a good result in the end."

It was also a special evening for Andy Teague who made his 300th appearance for the club with Jansen paying this tribute to the defender.

"Andy has been brilliant for us, a stalwart of a player, he's great in the dressing room and on the pitch, to reach 300 games is some achievement.

Chorley aim to get their first win in 2018 as they travel to Curzon Ashton on Saturday, with Jansen expecting a tough match.

"Facing Curzon is a tricky game, they have a good pitch and we can play some football on it, hopefully we can do a job against them."
