Jansen Pleased With How Chorley Dug In As They Close In On Play-Off Places

Matt Jansen says he saw his team change their style of play a bit during the win at AFC Telford United due to the pitch and was pleased with what he saw.

Chorley moved to within two points of the play-off places with a game in hand, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We had to be direct, be in their faces, all round the lads were excellent and gave everything they had," Jansen told the club's website.

"Newby took his goal well, he has great feet and got us going.

"It is all about the squad not just the eleven who start, this is key at the time of the season."

With six games to go it is all to play for as Chorley look to finish in the top seven places, Jansen had this to say on the run-in.

"Whatever happens happens, we just have to concentrate one game at a time now.

"Seven points from three games we would have taken, now we have six monster games coming up."
