Jansen Ecstatic After FA Cup Victory

Matt Jansen was full of praise for his whole team as Chorley reached the FA Cup first round, for the first time in 27 years.

It took a replay and 120 minutes but Chorley got through to the first round of the FA Cup thanks to a 4-3 win over Boston United, writes Tom Feaheny.

The Magpies won with 10 men after Matty Hughes was sent off with 100 minutes on the clock, but a Nick Haughton hat-trick proved to be the difference.

"It is typical FA Cup, what a game it was, we got the ball down and put in short sharp passes, this game had everything," Jansen said to the club's website.

"To win the game with ten men shows the character of this side, they all put a shift in, they are a great group who gave their all and deserve to be through."

"It was a massive team performance, the energy from them all, players all chipped in, with the way they played, they all gave it everything."

"This had the most ups and downs in a game I have managed, I am ecstatic."
