Jansen: Chorley Team Spirit Can't Be Beat

Matt Jansen says his whole squad are backing each other as they made it seven wins out of their last eight games.

A 2-0 win over Alfreton Town, with a dominant display and two impressive goals scored, impressed the boss. Match highlights here, writes Tom Feaheny.

Chorley climbed into the play-off places after the victory that means they head into the FA Cup tie against Boston United in great form.

"It is so pleasing to know how dominate we were, we had so many chances, controlled the game, we were very creative, it was an outstanding all-round performance, as a team we were brilliant," said Jansen to the club's website..

"These are the kind of games you need to get a result at if you want to be in the mix, we keep doing that, putting in the performances, getting the results."

"Even the lads who weren't playing were willing the lads on, this is a great squad, great spirit, it is a team, we are all united it is great to see."

Jansen rightly picked out Nick Haughton who scored both goals including one from inside his own-half, he praised a player who he thinks can get even better.

"It is going to be shown around the world, is it better than Beckham's? I'm not sure, what an outstanding finish, he is a great lad in the dressing room, then his second goal wasn't too bad either."
