Jansen: Chorley Have Made A Statement With Win

A 3-0 win against Salford City, left Chorley boss Matt Jansen proud of his side.

Defeating the top of the table side, with a fine display moved Chorley to eighth spot just a point off the play-off places, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It was magnificent, we raised ourselves for this game, the lads were warriors, yet composed and clinical" Jansen told the club's Audioboom channel.

"We were patient and comfortable on the ball, they through players forward to try and get back in it, but it was comfortable.

"They are top of the table and we have gained a very important victory, we didn't concede, we scored some good goals, it is just very positive.

"We have made a statement to the rest of the league, we can beat anyone on our day, now we move onto two important games."
