'It's Up To Us To Respond' Says Harriers Boss

Kidderminster boss Neil MacFarlane is backing his side to bounce straight back after their first defeat in ten games.

Harriers have been on fire in the National League North so far this season sitting second in the table, but Macfarlane said he was convinced his side would react in style to their first loss of the season.

“We’re obviously disappointed as a group that our unbeaten run has gone,” he told the club’s website. “We have to bounce back, and I’m convinced this group will.

“We’re ten games in and this group have come so far in that ten games and we can’t lose sight of that.

“The work ethic of this group is incredible. We’ll take stock of it and look to improve and hopefully we’ll be up there.”

Next up for MacFarlane is an FA Cup tie against Atherstone this Saturday and despite their midweek disappointment, the boss says his side are already raring to go.

“It’s taken us ten games to lose a football match and I am looking forward to Saturday already and I’m sure the lads are too.

“I’m convinced this group will bounce back. They’re a fantastic group and they’ve given me everything from day one an they will continue to do that.

“We’re really hurting from the defeat, but we’ll go again. It’s up to us to respond.”
