It’s Time To Stand Up And Be Counted Says Wrexham Boss

Wrexham boss Graham Barrow admits it’s back to square one at the Racecourse Ground.

But the Red Dragons boss is in no mood to rule the club out of the running for the title - but knows a winning run is needed and fast.

It’s four straight National League defeats for the club after limp showings against AFC Fylde, Bromley, Dover and Salford City.

They were also dumped out of the FA Trophy at home to Leyton Orient.

Barrow now says his players must make a statement and it’s crucial they get back to winning ways at home to Maidenhead on Saturday.

The manager said: “We have a great group of lads but they are in a difficult place at the moment.

“We’re back to square one a little bit, which isn’t easy.

“Football changes very quickly as we all know. We now need them to puff their chests out and stand up and be counted.

“We have added to the squad but at the moment we just seem to be lurching from problem to problem.

“A win changes things so I need to see who really wants to play this weekend as it’s an important game.”
