'It's Only A Start' - Limbrick Aims To Keep Woking's Run Going

By David Richardson

Woking earned their fourth win in their last five games at Chester last night to lift them into third place - but manager Anthony Limbrick knows there's still a long way to go.

The Cards have now taken 19 points from their last 24 following a 2-0 win on the road - watch match highlights here.

Kane Ferdinand headed the visitors in front after just 10 minutes and then Jamie Philpot capitalised on a defensive mix-up in the second half for his third goal in as many games.

Thrilled boss Limbrick said: "We knew this was going to be a tough fixture for us regardless of where the teams are in the table.

"They have a good, new manager with a lot of experience and they got a reaction in their last game here. The fact they didn't play on the weekend and we did, I thought was a disadvantage physically for us.

"We played well in the first 25 minutes and passed the ball well. Kane Ferdinand got the goal and he was very, very good tonight.

Limbrick added: "It's only a start for us, we're happy with it. The support of the club and the staff have been brilliant with me. The players we've brought in have bought into what we've been trying to do.

"We work very hard on the training ground to get organised. I think you can see what our philosophy and style is.

"We've got a long way to go. We've still got our targets for the season and we set targets for each month, and we want to achieve them."
