The Bucks missed the chance to jump out of the National League North bottom three after going down 2-1 at home.
It was a frustrating night for Telford, who, after managing to get their game on, couldn’t build on Saturday’s vital victory over FC United.
Edwards was unhappy with his players and wouldn’t offer up the Beast from the East as an excuse.
“Credit to Nuneaton, they are a very good team,” said the New Bucks Head manager to the club's Richard Worton after the game.
“We have seen why they are doing so well at the moment. The run, they work hard and we didn’t really match it.
“To go in at half-time at 1-1 was probably flattering for us. The second half was a bit of a non event from both sides really but the goal we conceded was criminal.
“It was unacceptable, not good enough and I can only apologise for large parts of that game.”
Edwards refused to accept the snow and sub-zero temperatures had anything to do with their low key display.
“The conditions didn’t play a part in the performance, not at all,” said the former Wolves favourite.
“You can still run and you can still compete and we didn’t do that.”
