The Coasters boss was delighted with the late 2-1 victory at Harrogate.
It took the club to third place in the National League - and it made the manager reflect on what they have achieved this year.
“It really looked like the game was heading for a draw which to be totally honest really wouldn’t have been a disaster,” he told the club’s video service.
“It wouldn’t have been a bad result at all but I have got to say I think we deserved to win.
“It’s a really big three points for us and it was a great way to end the year in our last game.
“It’s brilliant to be as high up as we are. We have had a really strong end to 2018 and we’re on a good run.
“It’s been a great year for the club, massively successful in terms of league results and getting to the play-offs.
“Hopefully we can start 2019 in the right manner and we can carry this on.
“Our initial aim is like everyone’s and that’s to stay up. I think that we’ve done that now so we have got to try and get as high up the table as we possibly can.”
